POWER SYSTEM ANALYSIS — 2018 Q3
Facilities Engineering — Power Systems | NLVFAC-7
Period: July 1 – September 30, 2018 | Filed: October 9, 2018
1. SCOPE
Quarterly analysis of electrical load, distribution efficiency and infrastructure maintenance for the subsurface levels, with particular reference to █████████████████ and the dedicated test feed.
2. LOAD SUMMARY
July — average 1.84 MW | peak 2.27 MW | load factor 0.81
August — average 1.91 MW | peak 2.31 MW | load factor 0.83
September — average 1.79 MW | peak 2.19 MW | load factor 0.82
The August peak coincides with sustained chiller operation (surface ambient above 100°F for nine days). No load shedding was required in the period.
3. TEST FEED — GD-1 SUPPORT
Scheduled power-level assessments drawn from the dedicated feed:
July 17 — 45% coil input
August 21 — 55% coil input
September 25 — 60% coil input
All assessments within the authorized envelope. Capacitor bank recharge times nominal throughout. Feed isolation verified before and after each run.
4. DISTRIBUTION EFFICIENCY
Measured distribution efficiency 96.2% (Q2: 96.0%). Transformer T-7B thermal margin within limits at all recorded peaks. Harmonic distortion on the test feed below 3% THD except during capacitor recharge, as expected.
5. MAINTENANCE
Switchgear inspection completed on schedule. UPS battery strings replaced, ██████████. Emergency lighting circuits tested on all levels (one fixture replaced). Breaker coordination study deferred to Q4 pending vendor availability.
